Who We Are

About LASPMA

The Los Angeles School Police Management Association (LASPMA) was founded in 2006 under our original name of “Los Angeles School Police Sergeants and Lieutenants Association.” In 2013, our name was changed in order to reflect our entire membership. Our Association is incorporated as a non-profit labor organization per IRS code 501(c)(5).

We are the exclusive representation for the supervisors of the Los Angeles School Police Department. LASPMA currently represents 52 supervisory employees including the ranks of Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Supervising School Safety Officer. Our members fulfill key functions of the School Police Department and the School District, facilitating safe instructional environments and providing the rank and file officers, detectives, and school safety officers with guidance and direction to ensure that law enforcement services are provided with the highest level of professionalism and compassion. LASPMA members regularly liaise with community leaders, parents, and school staff to help us in prioritizing Department services with their needs.

Our members are committed to ensuring the safety of the entire school community, but our concern for the community goes far beyond safety alone. We partner with several organizations to help make sure all our students have the opportunity to excel in their education.
